Broomfield High School Band Program is an inclusive program that caters to all students regardless of skill level or financial status and features a concert band, a jazz band and a beginning guitar class during school and three competitive after school programs including marching band, percussion ensemble, and winter guard.
The Broomfield High School Band Program aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community where students from all backgrounds come together to cultivate a passion for music and unleash their artistic potential. Every one of our programs is dedicated to fostering experiences that nurture an individual’s talents while building strong, collaborative bonds among our student members. The band program is the most visual program in the Broomfield schools - the Broomfield Bands perform for the community over 20 times per school year, often performing at local events, parades, and outreach opportunities. The Broomfield Band program also travels to local middle and elementary schools, encouraging and fostering the love of music in young students. The guitar program itself reaches students in Broomfield that are non-traditional music students. Almost all current guitar students were once involved in music at one point or another, but lost interest or were unable to afford purchasing or renting an instrument. The beginning guitar programs provides students a way to continue to be involved in music as we do not charge a class fee nor do we expect students to purchase their own guitars. The advanced guitar program encourages students to perform in their community with community based concerts. Each student involved is required to set up a concert and invite community members, sharing their passion of music and performance.
We worked with Gibson Gives to donate 25 acoustic guitars to their growing music program.
